MIP recognizes the importance of talent management and succession planning in an organization. In order to develop a pool of skilled and talented people, each of whom is adaptable and capable in filling a number of roles, we train, coach and mentor our employees and aspiring professionals.
It is said, and we believe, that more than 70% of learning is informal and a lot of learning can take place through coaching and mentoring as opposed to formal training programmes.
Training and Coaching
As part of training, we sponsor our staff for educational and professional courses so that they can acquire more knowledge and skills.
In addition, the more experienced and knowledgeable staff are encouraged to give their colleagues more on-the-job training and coaching so that they acquire and enhance both professional and soft skills.
Internship
Students from our universities and technical training institutions who are aspiring to join the industry are offered internship in order to give them an opportunity to relate what they are learning with the industry practice.
Mentorship
In MIP, we believe that mentoring promotes an environment of trust, belonging, understanding, support and encouragement.
It enhances teamwork spirit which gives our staff an opportunity to voice their concerns, overcome personal and professional challenges and find solutions that will hopefully inspire them to perform to their highest ability.
